Installing 1/4 panels

Front fenders and L trims

Installing our glass 1/4 panels is not that difficult of a job and can even be done by a novice .

First things first .. removing the roof . Inner trim comes off with the inner trim removed , the 1/4r

windows can now be removed .. see "L" trim install and with the 1/4r glass removed , time to

remove the roof inner trim panels    and rear seats .

next comes the outside .. tail lamps , moldings , bumper ends and fenders

antenna

and fuel filler lid are saved , If can be .

Next is the 1/4r . I use a air chisel or air  shears to cut the main portion if the side off

spot-weld bit will do specific areas .

With the truck stripped , it time for some clean up  .. take the time to do a thorough clean .

now with a clean surface , "rough up" the surface area for the epoxy glue . tape it off , and seal with an epoxy primer .

and then peel the tape off

The panel will need some fitting and trimming .. usually once or twice . tailgate lines , door gaps ect...

  fitting the filler door

now your ready for some glue

Front fenders are set into place lining up gaps and body lines . I like to start at the back getting things lined up there first

trimming again will be necessary

be sure to pre-fit ALL parts and pieces before paint and now were ready for paint

and paint ..

and now into color/paint .. time to put it back together

just like that  :)
